Prepping, Pasta, and the Great Thanksgiving Debate

As Thanksgiving is approaching and we start preparing menu items and plans for the day, what is becoming a favorite tradition is prepping some of the food items the day before with my mom and some other family members.  We all gather around my kitchen and work on our respective dishes but we all are there together.  It’s been a great way to share in some great laughs, stories and grow our connections further.

Besides that, one of my other favorite traditions is having Pasta Priginera for Thanksgiving.  It translates to prisoner pasta in Italian.  My aunt used to make it every Thanksgiving at it has become a tradition that is always argued about if we should have pasta or not since that is not a typical dish served for Thanksgiving.  I am definitely all for it and those vote against it still end up eating it.
